Biografía

Guillermo Oliguin Mitchell (Mexico City, 1969) lives and works between Oaxaca, Mérida, and New York. He completed professional studies in the Cornish School of Arts in Seattle, Washington, and post-graduate work in the Academy of Art in Budapest, Hungary. His work in painting, drawing, graphics, photography, and video explores the translations of travel, pagan rites, and mythology, in its own poetry. His work has been shown both individually and collectively in over thirty exhibitions in Mexico, the United States, Hungary, Cuba, Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Portugal, France, Finland, and Japan. His artistic pieces can be found in private art collections in Mexico, the United States, and Europe, as well as numerous public spaces, such as the Art Museum of Oaxaca and the Institution of Graphic Arts in Oaxaca.
