Francisco Corzas was a renowned Mexican painter and engraver known for his impressionistic style influenced by Goya. Trained at "La Esmeralda" National School and in Italy, he developed a distinctive artistic approach characterized by mysteriously undefined forms and limited color palettes. His work, exhibited globally from Rome to New York, received international recognition, including a silver medal at the Via Margutta International Fair in Rome. Corzas' paintings feature subtle light and shadow play, using predominantly yellow, dark ochre, and black tones. Key works can be found in major Mexican museums like the Museum of Modern Art and the Carrillo Gil Museum.
